Jeanne Monique Carmouche
Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, she has called Houston, Texas home for 14 years, where she launched House of Jeanne Monique the summer after earning her degree in Communications. Struggling with severe eczema, she wanted skincare free of preservatives and harsh chemicals, without giving up her love of beautiful scent. Unable to find that combination on store shelves, she started making it herself, with Vitamin E, almond oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter. Crafted with intention, rooted in ritual. What began as a solution for one woman's skin became House of Jeanne Monique.

Our body butter is a natural, handmade formula that can soften or slightly melt in warm weather or heat exposure — this is normal and doesn't affect quality. If this happens, simply pop it in a cool or cold environment (like the fridge) to help it firm back up.
